After seeing a void in the marketplace for tunics and band collar shirts, Sebastian de la Begassiere-Keitel founded De Lesseps in 2017, with the notion of combining styles from the Eastern and Western worlds. The inspiration for the brand happened when he was 11, during a visit with his aunt and cousins in Cairo, Egypt.

The name De Lesseps comes from a family ancestor and engineer of the Suez canal, Ferdinand de Lesseps. Similar to the opening of the canal in 1869, the De Lesseps brand strives to bridge the cultural gap between East and West through design. The collection features hidden placket shirts in both relaxed and slim fit, engineered with 100% Irish linen, the strongest in the world..
